The Bosch refrigerator is more expensive than the GE Appliances version, but it comes with more features. It is worth the extra expense. The only negatives to this refrigerator is the thin main refrigerator drawer and the difficult-to-use right door latch. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

LG counter-depth refrigerators provide plenty of storage in small footprints. These counter-depth refrigerators are also more affordable than standard-depth French-door fridges, and they could eliminate the need for an under-counter smaller freezer. The LG Smart Mirror InstaView Counter-Depth Refrigerator (LMWC23626S) is a refrigerator that has the capacity of a standard refrigerator in modern and sleek design, isn't an exception. It also comes with an internal dispenser that gives easy access to drinking water.

This model's exterior showcases a fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish and a mirrored InstaView panel that adds to the modern look of the interior. The door bins are spacious and the top shelf can be folded down to form a half-depth shelves that permit taller items to fit. The bottom of the fridge is stocked with more crisp drawers, and the full width deli drawer is ideal for meat or fresh produce.

The refrigerator has a recessed Icemaker that is located on the back wall. This reduces space and allows you to store more ice bags. The refrigerator has a door cooling system that uses vents on the fridge and freezer doors to let cold air into. It helps prevent hot spots and keeps temperatures more uniform throughout the fridge.

This LG refrigerator stood out during our tests. It provides plenty of space to feed a family, but we did notice a few irritating issues. First, the freezer drawers don't remain as cold as we'd like. The middle drawer sat at 41 degrees during our highest usage test, which is warm enough to serve ice cream and other frozen items. The temperature of the rest of the freezer remained at around 36 degrees.

Another issue is that the refrigerator doors have handles that are sunken on the inside and underneath which makes it difficult for shorter people to comfortably guide them closed. It may seem like a minor issue but we prefer front mounted handles on refrigerators, which make them more convenient to open and close.

The refrigerator is pricey, but worth it for those who want an elegant appearance in their kitchen. This refrigerator is ideal for those who want to upgrade their fridge or are building new homes and want a seamless look in the kitchen.

Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Samsung's latest counter-depth French-door refrigerator model, the RF23M8090SG is priced at $4200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also does well in our cooling tests, but we're not a fan of its plastic handles and the crisper bins feel a little flimsy.

Bespoke is an option that makes the RF23M8090SG stand out. It allows you to personalize your refrigerator with removable colored panels. There are 11 colors to choose from, from soft pastels to more vibrant hues, and four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be personalized with text or photos making the fridge a more personal touch point that will match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.

The LED lighting can be changed to a different color which is a great feature. The interior of the refrigerator has an intelligent finish that reduces the appearance of smudges and makes cleaning easier. The only real flaws of the RF23M8090SG are its cramped beverage center, and it takes some effort to open the door-indoor feature, which houses a water dispenser and an ice maker. You must feel for an unmarked lever on the underside of the door midway across, and when you do you will be able to open an additional door inside the refrigerator that houses the pitcher docking station, the water dispenser and two shelves for drinks.

The 6.8 cubic-foot freezer compartment is large enough to accommodate a large amount of frozen foods and comes with an amazing slide-out drawer system that lets you access whichever food you're looking for without opening the entire compartment. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

French door refrigerators are a great addition to any kitchen. They are sleek and are a great fit for all sizes of rooms. If you're looking to enjoy the convenience of this style without the height, a counter-depth refrigerator is the best choice. This model from Frigidaire which we've thoroughly tested, has received an above-average rating in our evaluations due to its reasonable price and thoughtful features, such as an adjustable temperature drawer.

It also has a few annoying issues. Our test data shows that the FGHB2866PF is able to warm up quite some in the freezer, and it can get uncomfortably warm on the refrigerator's outermost shelving. This is evident in our heat maps which show how much the internal temperatures vary from minute to minute. The butter bin in the orange area in the upper right corner is especially warm during our test period. It might not appear too awful at first glance, but it means the fridge spends a good portion of its time above 33 degrees.

It's also worth mentioning that the FGHB2866PF isn't an Energy Star-certified model, which could be a factor for some buyers. The issue is that it's just not a great refrigerator, and the absence of top-of-the-line features and robust construction make it hard to recommend over better options in this price range.

This Frigidaire refrigerator is similar to the stainless steel version you might find in your local appliance store. It's a safe option with a brushed finish that looks good and is impervious to smudges, but it does not make a lot of an effort to differentiate itself from other brands that have more features and less expensive.

If you're looking for a counter-depth French-door refrigerator but don't want to spend an excessive amount of money the FGHC2331PF could be worth a look. It has enough storage to meet the requirements of many families and does a great job keeping food fresh. And even if it isn't an energy-efficient model, it doesn't even come close to costing more than our top-rated models do.
