Like the name suggests, the GE Profile series is targeted at those who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology into their kitchen. This refrigerator is packed with them, from an in-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a sophisticated water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator is more, I'd expect higher quality.

Aside from that blip however, this refrigerator is a fantastic choice. It features a large freezer compartment that is not common for counter-depth French door fridges. It also holds a lot of frozen food compared to other models.

The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a fridge with a French door at this price. It has a decent-sized freezer in the left side. However, it's not the largest one I've seen.

You can alter the shelving in each compartment to create a custom storage setup for whatever you have to keep. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. Its LED lighting is a nice feature, and the in-door storage bins feature a third shelf that folds down so that you can store items that are tall. The drawers include temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, but I found their textured plastic coatings to be a little rough on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator is equipped with a complete set of features you'd expect from a fridge at this price with Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from any place around the world. It also comes with numerous options for customizing. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be great to have GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill the option that is that is available in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to choose the number of cups they would like to pour out. It does offer a countdown feature on the fridge's display to show how much water you have left, but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to look like it's a seamless component in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also features a veggie compartment which keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors for preserving food items. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and produces an ice pyramid with only a little water. This refrigerator is the ideal choice for single household or kitchenettes who want an integrated look and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test, for various reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just a few degrees Fahrenheit and never fluctuating more than a fraction of an inch. This is essential to avoiding freezer burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, reaching the temperature that was set for the initial setting within an hour and maintaining the temperature constant over the course of our tests.

Bosch has a reputation for premium appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance that has the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app allows you to monitor and control your fridge remotely from your smartphone or tablet. The refrigerator is pricey however, it offers excellent features and capabilities at a reasonable cost.

While the fridge is an incredible piece of equipment, it's important to know the limitations. You might need to be creative with tall items because the fridge has a small shelf space. The shelves are also not impervious to spills and could easily be stained or damaged by sharp items. The trays are easily removed from the fridge. However, they should be cleaned frequently to stop the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth refrigerator is a great choice for those who require plenty of space in a small frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features an ordinary French door layout, with two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded to provide more space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer for products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker making it simple to transfer frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer also features innovative design features such as sliding drawers that can help you organize your items. It also has a large bin that holds plenty of frozen food items as well as an additional storage bin for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is a cool feature of the refrigerator. It lets you control the temperature of your fridge as well as lighting using your smartphone. It's an easy way to monitor your refrigerator and control it, especially when not at home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily improve the efficiency of the fridge. The refrigerator took longer to defrost food and chill it than some others we test. This is likely due to the greater capacity.

It would have been much better if they had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal choice for those who want to combine the benefits of a fridge with a French door with an efficient layout. Its capacity is superior to counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also a little cheaper than the best counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which helps make it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an French door refrigerator that won't break the bank, this Frigidaire is a solid option. It's a minimalist design that's not as striking visually like some of the competitors but it does have enough features to make it a solid option.  french door fridge freezers  is the adjustable temperature drawer which helps keep food items like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser as well as a good ice maker that operates quickly.

Another nice feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. This drawer allows you to direct a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power into this area, so that you can store foods that require special attention. This feature is adjustable using a slider located outside the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.

In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures stayed fairly consistent across different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary much from 38 degrees. This is a good performance but isn't quite at the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tried.
